Storyland Yoga

I recently gathered my kids and watched “Storyland Yoga” by Playful Planet. It’s a DVD showcasing yoga moves geared towards kids by incorporating animation and storytelling along with live action of kids doing the yoga moves themselves

Storyland Yoga

All I can say is that this DVD was an absolute blast! I have an eight-year-old and a two-year-old. I wondered if my two-year-old would have the attention span to do yoga moves. After all, I do yoga on a regular basis and know that doing poses can require a lot of focus. By following a story filled with animal poses, my kids didn’t need to focus as much as just have fun being a part of the story. Both were enthralled and loved doing the poses right along with me. Matter of fact, watching the DVD was a great way to get me actively playing with my kids. Before we knew it, we were rolling around laughing and relaxing.

Of course, the real test of any DVD is to see whether a child asks for it again. As I began typing up this review, my two-year-old saw the cover and asked to watch “gogi” again! Enough said. I highly recommend watching “Storyland Yoga” as a way for your kids to get a positive and fun introduction to yoga and its many benefits.
