The Summer Olympic Games are an international event that hosts a variety of sports, events, and games. It occurs every four years, and it is an event that invites the best athletes from every country. It is organized by the International Olympic Committee. Medals are awarded to the top 3 places for finishers. When the Summer Olympics started it has 42 events, and about 250 male participants. Today it has over 300 events and over 10,000 competitors, from 205 nations, and of both genders. The International Federation governs the sport, and the qualification rules for each event.

They keep calling this the initially social olympics, however as you mentioned in your other article, they have several basically anti-social policies.
