Five Fun Baby Shower Games

Baby showers are a lot of fun, especially for the expectant mother. A baby shower is more than some treats and presents, you can add some fun baby shower games to the party to make it exciting and entertaining for everyone. Here are five fun baby shower games to try out at your next baby shower party:

The Baby Tray

Here is a fun and easy game. Get a bunch of different items for the new baby and place them on the tray. Now, give all your party guests a piece of paper and a pen. Give them 1 minute to view the items on the tray and then put it away. The person that successfully names the most items will be able to get a prize. Of course the expectant mother will be the person to take home all of the tray items. Try to get some items that are small like pacifiers. You want to try and make it hard for people to guess which items are on the tray; this is the fun part of it.

Name that Baby

A great way to get your guests talking is to have everyone bring a picture of themselves as a baby. Try and get the pictures before the shower so you have time to make them look newer in case some of them look dated. Once you have all the pictures, pin them up to a bulletin board with a number underneath them. Have all of your guest write down the appropriate names that correspond with the pictures. The person that gets the most pictures correct is the winner and they will get a prize. This is a fun baby shower game and it’s a great way to get your guests to talk to one another.

Baby Shower Bingo

Bingo is a party standard game and it works great for a baby shower. Make up some bingo boards with pictures of baby items like diapers, pacifiers, bottles, etc. Hand each guest a bingo board before the expectant mother opens the presents. Right before the new mom opens up a new gift, have each guest fill in what they think it will be on their baby shower bingo board. Each player will mark off a match on the bingo board and the player that gets a straight bingo, X, or four corners is the winner.

The Pacifier Game

If you only want to play one game at the shower, the pacifier game is usually the best. Give every guest a necklace with a pacifier on it when they walk through the door. If someone says the word “baby” and another person hears them, they can get their necklace. The person that is able to collect the most necklaces at the end of the game is the winner.

Name that item
Another great baby shower game is to wrap up a bunch of different baby items. Number the items so your guests have to feel and hold them to determine what is inside the package. The person that gets the highest number of guesses correctly is the winner.

Baby showers are a great way for an expectant mother to get some of the items she needs to welcome her new bundle of joy. Plan on having people at your home for about two to four hours for a good baby shower. Depending upon how many games you plan, you may want to let your guests know how long you expect the shower to last. If it starts to run long, cut out some of the games. The great thing about baby shower games is that they are the perfect time for guests to get to know one another if they haven’t met before.
