Living frugally is wonderful because it frees your time and energy for the more important things in life. Because you have a budget which you stick to, you know that you will spend money when it’s needed and that you’ll be able to afford everything that you need thereby greatly reducing your stress. If you don’t have a lot of money, creating a budget and living more frugally are great ways to stay out of debt or, if you need to get out of debt, they’re great at allocating your money so you can work towards getting out of debt. Let’s look at some ways to find information online about frugal living.

There are tons of websites dedicated to all things frugal living. Here are a few of the great frugal living sites I found:

Frugalvillage.com talks about all things frugal. There’s information on cooking and living frugally, re-using baggies and more! There are tons of tips that you can use in your own life to help you make sure that you aren’t spending too much, that you’re sticking to a budget or saving where you can.

Wisebread.com is another great website filled with frugal living tips and information. It talks about how to live better and get the things that you want without overspending. The site has many articles covering all aspects of living a frugal life. There are tips on the site that show you how to save money and still be able to buy what you want. There is a section on the site dedicated to breaking down economic bills passed by Congress and explaining in plain English how the legislation affects you.

Betterbudgeting.com is a great site for, you guessed it, budgeting better. The articles on the site are grouped into different categories which you choose then you can pick from more articles in your selected sub-section. Articles include topics as diverse as saving money at a garage sale and using things around the house to save money. Another great feature of this site are the budget worksheets and software that help you plan your own budget and take control of your money, which is where frugal living begins.

About.com is also font of information about budgeting, saving and frugal living. They have tons of articles on how to live frugally, save your money, create and stick to a budget, buy more for less, to name just a few subjects.

News programs often have tips online that you can check. Log on to your local news station’s website and check to see if they have money management information for consumers. They will often have coupons, deals and specials for use in your area. National news websites are great for tips, suggestions and money-saving ideas, too. CNN does a special program everyday that talks about the economy and tips for living better. You can either watch or go online and check it out. They talk about all things money-related like 401K plans, student loans and the housing market. They also have tons of tips for living better and being more frugal.

If you need more information then try typing in what you are looking for in a search engine. You will get tons of websites which are dedicated to showing consumers about frugal living and helping people live better. Frugal living can help save you tons of money. You can use that money to pay down debt, buy a house or to save it for retirement. You don’t have to change your life drastically, but changing a few things, like how and when you buy groceries, can save you tons of money.

There are some really good ideas on this site, I love finding news ways to save money, and making my money go further. I have made many changes to my lifestyle in order to save money. I have switched to supermarket brands for some products, I shop in the sales to pick up a bargain. I have also started sending my friends free greeting cards. There doesn’t need to be a reason, just to say hi. They appreciate the thought. Does anyone else have any other money saving tips?
